BLACK BEAUTY 7min 2004

An abstraction of a feeling.
Spleen is a expression for melancholy and boredom
within literature. A genre that was invented during
the romantic period at 18oo Baudelaire (1821-1867)
beautified and wrote seductively about evilness and
death. In the poem The corps Baudelaire describes
a corp that is putrefing. He writes and put words on
it a if he was writing about the beauty of a women.
Absured, abstract och ambivalent.
The poem The corps and romantic literature says
something about the mood during the 18oo.
I think that our present time has a similar mood
Spleen - boredom and melancholy.

Black Beauty can be interpreted as visual Baudelaire
poem that are flirting with the obsession of horror,
spooke and ghost genres. Unexplainebel slaughter
in dekadent environments. Boredom that has to be
filled with material glans.
